But in situations like this, Castiel is more than willing to hand himself over to Sam utterly, to let 'you and I' become 'we', and to let Sam make the decisions for 'us'. It's good for them, will ultimately help build them up again. Castiel can take the time for his spirit to heal, to get back on his own feet, and Sam can reassure himself that his sub isn't becoming too willful for their arrangement to continue.
