Since Dean is gone, Gabriel steals his beer. "Took another year before my grace was back in any sort of functioning shape. You hadn't retired, so.. I made a decision. After one last flight and building this bar, I cut out my grace and used it to protect you."
Right about here is where Gabriel expects to get hit. Being human, it's probably going to hurt too.
