Sam smiles, taking the offered hand. "Castiel. Hello. It's a pleasure to meet you." It's an unusual name and he can only hope he hasn't mangled it. Instead, he bends, taking the offered scent. His hair brushes against Castiel's wrist and hand as well and he draws back.

"I'm sorry. I know it's late so...well, I suppose we'd both be glad enough to keep this short." It's not like Sam doesn't know he's the least likely candidate, after all.

He lets go reluctantly before shifting his gift in his hand. A glance around says that he's really unlikely. The treasures in here could fund several third world countries for at least a year. It makes his courting gift look just as poor as possible.

Still, he takes a breath and offers the package. "A gift. For you. As a token of my intentions."

The package, at least, was flat. Not terribly heavy, but there wasn't any give to it, either. The amount of research Sam had had to do to find it was extensive, but he hoped that Castiel would at least enjoy it.
