Castiel is glad that Sam understands, though hardly even surprised. Sam is wonderful like that. Something aches in his chest, and he's not sure what to make of that, suspects that it might be the distance between them that he knows he can never bridge. He's been brought up differently, and for the first time truly feels like less for it.
