His family, maybe, but not Castiel himself.
"What sort of things do you read?" he asks, head tilted out of curiosity. "I've always tended toward speculative fiction, myself. Or the occasional horror novel. And some Tolkien." Elves and dwarves didn't seem to deal in Alphas and Omegas. Or, at least, it was never mentioned in the books. But, then, there was no need for that before the clans came out.
