They were on a job. Well, Dean and Jo were doing most of the foot work. Sam's in the library, doing research with Bobby. They're the best suited to this part of things, after all.
The librarian still glares at Sam when his mobile goes off, though he smiles at her apologetically before glancing down. Then he's up and out of the library, so he can have his conversation where there aren't so many prying ears.
It leads to Sam and Bobby abandoning their research and a call made to Dean and Jo to meet them back at the pack house. Of course Zachariah would arrive when Kevin was in class and Ash and Charlie were off on a call to deal with their computer business sideline.
Once they reach the house, Sam forces himself to at least seem calmer as he leads the others up the walkway to the pack house, opening the door because this is where he lives. "Mr. Novak. What a surprise to have you here. When we hadn't heard anything more from your pack about wedding plans or a meeting for the packs to at least meet each other, I wasn't certain what to think."
Oh, Sam has a copy of the contract in his office. Soon enough, he would have called Zachariah on it. But a week wasn't a lot of time, really, when it came to these kinds of marriages.
