This Castiel is so very different from the one that Gabriel saw in the house, but maybe he should have expected that. After all, after the past several years with Zachariah, Gabriel had expected what he'd seen in the house.

Sam had said that Castiel had fire in him. He's glad to see that it wasn't stamped out.

Though it still makes him blink for a moment to have that fire aimed his direction. "I...what?" It takes his own brain a moment to kick into gear and then Gabriel frowns. "All I did was give Sam some gift suggestions. Anything that happened during courting was all him.
