He closes his eyes and keeps pulling, letting Castiel bite and whimper all he needs to as he eases the plug out as best he can. Once that's done, he throws it away, just wrapping his arms around Castiel and holding him. "It's not your fault," he finally says, hand moving up to tangle in Castiel's wet hair. "I know that's how it feels and I know that's what Jason told you, but this isn't your fault, Cas. And I have you."
They'd deal with the blood in a few minutes, which isn't going to be comfortable for Castiel. But just for this minute, he lets Castiel lean against him and just holds him.
