"We're apparently going to hear some stories, too." Which isn't a bad thing. Hearing the history of the City and the land they lived in was never a bad thing. So much had been lost and Sam, at least, loves to hear what Gabriel and Castiel have to say about the world before they were even born, before so much started to go into decline. Though Sam can remember the Temples from his childhood, even then they were falling out of favor. One of his favorite things to do during their sparse down time is to listen to Gabriel talk.
"Just remember, we do have our own stores as well. Ask for them if they'll make your task easier." Since they have a lot to do tonight.
Sounds outside make Sam raise his head, then he smiles. "And there's Bobby's group." The older hunter would be staying out of the Temple when it came time. Which is something Sam's thankful of. All of this is difficult enough without their father figure watching. But Bobby and Ellen have a good, strong marriage, so Bobby's mostly there to keep an eye on things outside. And get the rest of the younger Hunters into the City.
